Kyran Elsweyr - Born to a Dalish clan, moved around, nothing abnormal. Her clan was a brutish/violent one. When the Keeper was replaced by an even more bloodthirsty leader, and the clan became even more violent, her immediate family chose to transfer into the Sabrae clan. Kyran, though she thrived in her hostile clan, and liked violence and what-not, decided to go with them because of a close relationship with her brother. This was shortly before the Blight and the Sabrae clan moving to Kirkwall.
- Brother: The Athena to her Ares.
- Ex-Lover: Son of the Keeper of her previous clan.

Amaya Menke - Her and her twin sister were sold to the Antivan Crows at a very young age. Cut-throat, trust no one childhood. The Crows oft pit the sisters against each other and their relationship was one defined by rivalry more than love. But they still got along with each other, and both were secretly glad they were never asked to kill each other (despite all their banter and betting on who win if it came down to it). Both were renown assassins and completed many contracts. However, during a contract that Amaya didn't have the heart to complete, she betrayed her sister one day and deserted. Her sister was punished for the failed contract and now their relationship is one of absolute one-sided hate. Amaya fully expects it will be her sister that will kill her one day when she finds her. Ended up in the Coterie in Kirkwall.
- Twin Sister: Rivalry soured by betrayal and become hate.
- Third Muskateer: Flirty not-quite-romance, the only person she ever really trusted in the crows.

Elathor Abreo - Born in Orlais to scholars. Was an only-child, a spoiled and coddled Daddy's girl. Magic manifested in her super young, was transferred to the White Spire where she thrived. Was gifted, studious, and a socialite. Became an Aquetarian, had a close-knit of friends/fellows. Was very flirty and bold. When she was found out to be in a relationship with a Templar, she was transferred to Kirkwall. Is finding it a disgusting place with no fun and no class; a far cry from the White Spire indeed.

Lores Ahktar - Lores' Val-Tashoth mother stayed one night at a small inn, popped out baby Lores, and then promptly abandoned her. Disappeared, leaving an unsettled tab, and was never heard from again. She was raised by the inn's owners, whose own gaggle of children were all already grown. The Ahktar family was well-known and beloved by the community. The middle-aged couple ran the bread-and-breakfast type inn, their children had their own shops/stalls where they made and sold clothing, quilts, and other textiles. The Ahktar boys raised vegetables and small animals, selling meats and perishables always at a fair price. The cheeriest bartender at the Hanged Man was an Ahktar girl. Lores was raised very normally, treated as their own flesh-and-blood grandchild/sibling. She was her grandmother's shadow and she made it a point to take the qunari child everywhere with her, teaching her kindness, charity, and making her as well-known and accepted by the community. She has little experience with other qunari. Her parents sought information about them to sate her curiosity, but little was found, and what was was so foreign and outlandish to Lores. She learned trades and skills from all her siblings and always helped out in many of their shops.
- Ahktar Family: Lores' older siblings/cousins. Could be anything, shopkeepers, bartenders, city guard, templars, etc. The Ahktar's are all known to be charitable and honest people of the community. But there could always be a blacksheep of the family who no one really acknowledges (lol).

Lysander Blythe: Born in a noble house. Tons of siblings — has two other brothers and was born smack-dab in the middle of four sisters. Grew up with the girls pretty much. Dressed up, gossiped, supported and was supported. Huge Mama's boy. A sweet, sensitive little soul. Shipped off to Templar training when he turned fifteen. Ended up in Kirkwall.

Katzen Bashere: Born in Kont-aar. He and his older sister were born outside of the Qun (to deserters) and, when their parents got sick and died, they found the Qunari settlement and were accepted into their ranks. They found it a hard adjustment, as they were to taught to unlearn many things their parents had instilled within them (personal identity, family ties, attachment). Katzen had trouble swallowing how his duty to the Qun trumped everything else and found himself sent to re-educators frequently.
When magic manifested in his sister, she stole him in the middle of the night and fled with him, terrified of what would be done to her when her arcane abilities were found out. They ran from city to city then, nation to nation, starving, thieving, and shivering. His sister ended up finding an apostate who took them in and trained her. And magic awakened in Katzen, too. The apostate was eventually found out and sent to Kinloch Hold.
His sister died young from a sickness, just like his parents. He's convinced it's a curse or bad genes and that he'll die young, too. He's a gifted mage, swindler, and entertainer. Always on the run, from gambling debts, from scorned lovers, etc.

Rhys Bailey: Rhys was born into a dirt-poor family in Wycome, just another mouth they weren't sure how they were going to be able to feed. Was purchased/taken off the hands of the struggling couple by a well-seeming man. The older gentleman operated a small clinic in the town and purchased the child to become his prodigy/heir. The man (unbeknownst to most, including Rhys' parents, who leaped eagerly at the chance to rid themselves of another burdensome babe) was also a manic zealot, disgraced and discharged from the Chantry in Starkhaven, as he grew more and more cultist (and was discovered to be stealing/covering a personal supply of lyrium). He hated/despised magic and mages. Raised Rhys to be severely devout and also taught him medicine and healing. Rhys was also raised partly by Wycome's chantry, as his "father" would often disappear for days and weeks at a time.
Eventually, when Rhys was around seventeen, he
despised magic/mages, and a former chantry brother, disgraced and discharged as he grew more manic and cultist (not to mention, began to steal/covert a personal supply of lyrium).
was adopted by a zealot of a man, someone who despised magic/mages, he was a former chantry brother, disgraced and discharged as he grew more manic and cultist (and began to steal/covet a personal supply of lyrium), he was raised by the man and the chantry, who taught him medicine and healing, as the man would oft disappear for days or weeks at a time, eventually he was killed by a pair of apostates, and from that day forward, rhys hated mages and magic just as much as him, but what rhys didn't know was that his father had killed a handful of the apostates' families, suspecting them apostates. there was a lot rhys didn't know about the man -- how he became a lyrium smuggler/addict, and captured and killed anyone he suspected of being a mage, how he was paranoid, obsessed, manic after his death, rhys traveled from region to region, apprenticing himself to a number of surgeons, apothecaries, herbalists, etc
self-castigates to drive the sin from himself, any impure thoughts and whatnot, ikes modest women, purity, not temptresses and whatnot the zealots man family was murdered by a group of apostates but rhys doesn't know is that the zealot slaughtered many of this group of apostate's family
